Rupert and the Rolling Ball adventure commenced in the Daily Express on Monday 17th June. It first appeared in the Daily express in February/March 1957 and was later reprinted in the 1968 Rupert Annual.
It is a strange choice of story as the opening line starts “It is midwinter”, so a rather unseasonal continuity as Rupert has only just returned from his second consecutive holiday in Rupert at Rocky Bay the day before..
With the large range of stories available for reprinting one wonders why a bit more care on selection is not made
