Rupert and the Magic Ball is a Bestall Christmas story originally appearing in 1954 and later being reprinted in colour in the 1966 Rupert Annual. There appears to be anxiety as Rupert has yet to send Santa his Christmas list.
This re-run started in the Express on 20th December 2019.
Rupert and the Empty Cottage concluded with the satisfactory solving of the mystery of smoke coming from the chimney of an empty cottage, and the chums can then get back to their Robin Hood adventures. This is a short story (BO21), which was specially written for inclusion in the 1950 Rupert Annual.
