Rupert in the Express March 2020

Rupert and the Diamond Leaf, an Alfred Bestall story from 1952, which was reprinted in the 1960 Rupert Annual, commenced on Wednesday 18th March.

A stranger meets Rupert and is puzzled by a large bird flying  over Nutwood.

Rupert and the Old Hat, a story that first appeared in colour in the 1965 Rupert Annual, concluded happily on Tuesday 17th March after 46 episodes.

Mrs Bear's old hat solved the nesting problem for a wooden cuckoo, as well as helping to overcome scarecrow Odmedod's loneliness, as other birds never talked to him.
