The Rupert and the Three Guides story commenced in the Daily Express on Wednesday 29th April.
Rupert is awoken from his slumbers under a Nutwood tree by woodland creatures activity and goes off to investigate.
Rupert and the Diamond Leaf concluded a bit early on Tuesday 28th April with only 42 of the original 48 episodes being reprinted. The PC police excised Rupert’s visit to his native chums on Coon Island that featured in the original story. This modern approach in republishing stories from the past unfortunately compromises the racial harmony that has always featured in the Rupert stories. It is a sad comment on the snowflake thinking these days.
Anyway, Rupert and Lily solve the mystery of the powers of the plant and help preserve the flying secrets of the King of the Birds.
