Rupert and the Floods story commenced on Wednesday 4th April and is a reprint of a Bestall story originally appearing in the paper in 1937 and the Rupert Annual that was published at Christmas that year. The story was later printed in the paper in 2005.
Someone looking suspiciously like Rupert´s friend Bill peers though the fence and with the basket lifting from the ground the story promises mischief.
Rupert and the Flying Bottle story was completed after 26 episodes on the Tuesday and featured The Professor, his assistant, and an unfortunate Podgy who became lighter than air and floated away, requiring remedial attention from Dr Lion.
The Professor´s assistant is referred to throughout the story as "The Dwarf" though we later came to know him as Bodkin.
