Rupert and the Popweed started on 4th June 2022 with the Bear family heading towards Rocky Bay on holiday, taking Bill with them as a companion for Rupert.
It is a 1961 Alfred Bestall newspaper story that then appeared in the 1971 Rupert Annual and later in Pippin and the Sunday Express.
Rupert and the Windy Day concluded after 46 episodes and a few publication difficulties, as Rupert’s jumper was often shown in black rather than red, and episode 43 had the same image shown twice. One would have thought when just reprinting stories, it should not be too difficult to get things right.
