Rupert and the Winter Woolly is a Bestall story first appearing in the Daily Express in early 1956 and it was reprinted in colour in the 1965 Rupert Annual.
It has previously been reprinted in the newspaper three times.
Episode 1 shows seasonal weather which encourages Rupert to go out to play in the snow.
Rupert and Santa’s Present concluded the previous day on Friday 6th January and featured Rupert opening his presents on Christmas Day. This reprinting of the story was not without problems, with one episode being repeated so the story continuity was disrupted. However the full adventure by John Harrold can be read in its entirety in the 1997 Rupert Annual.
