The 2021 AGM and Fun Day

Tavistock!  Exciting new venue

As you will know from the late Spring Newsletter, Warwick School advised us they are unable to host our AGM and Fun Day, so this year's Event is being held at Kelly College, Tavistock.

More information will be shared in the Summer newsletter (early July)

Meanwhile, here is some information about Kelly College and about how the programme for this year is progressing:

The Venue:

Kelly college sits on the outskirts of the Stannary town of Tavistock in 20 acres of landscaped grounds, on the edge of Dartmoor and including a stretch of the River Tavy. A beautiful school in Devon, founded in 1877 and steeped in history and tradition with all the usual facilities for overnight stays.

There are a variety of rooms: single, double and family-size to suit all needs.

Accommodation is priced per person.
Half board includes bed and breakfast and an evening meal at £40.00.
Full board includes bed, breakfast, lunch and evening meal at £45.00.
Breakfasts, lunches and dinners are buffet style in the dining room.  Lunch if not booked as full board is £8.00.
The Saturday evening Gala Dinner is priced separately. Please indicate if vegetarian, vegan or any special dietary requirements.

Free transport:  There will be a free transport shuttle from Plymouth Railway Station to the venue in Tavistock for those not driving.

The Event:

Book signing - Stuart Trotter will be present to sign a pre-ordered 2121 Annual personally for you.  All Annuals must be ordered on the Annual Order Form (not the Registration form).  If you attend Tavistock, the postage cost of the Annual will be refunded to you there.

Road Show - the Followers' Road Show, hosted by our own John Beck, and highly popular over the years, is back!  John will be bringing along some scarce and rare Rupert items to show and discuss, as well as assessing and valuing all your unusual Rupert items, so bring along anything you would like information about.

Dealers' Bourse - there will be some new sellers this year, offering a huge selection of Rupert books and memorabilia - and some familiar ones too.

Talks - A very interesting speaker has been arranged, though they are not revealing their topic just yet.

The Play - Discussions are underway.  We hope to being you a play as in previous years.

The 100th Anniversary badges - some will be included in the welcome pack for those attending.

On site - there is a swimming pool available for use at a small extra cost.

This is a link to Kelly College itself:

You will see that the venue is just as amazing as Warwick School.  Lovely airy dining facilities, clean modern rooms...

Of course, this year in particular, when everyone is looking for staycations, and much hotel and other accommodation is both highly priced and often already booked, at Kelly College you have the opportunity of three days away, in very reasonably priced accommodation, and among people with similar interest!

Send off your Registration form now!

and even if you are not able to attend, don't forget you may still join in the raffle, and order an annual  signed by Stuart Trotter.
