Starting in the Daily Express, 2nd May 2026, is the delightful Freddie Chaplain story Rupert and The Moon Moths (P5). The story first ran in the Daily Express from Friday 11th February 1966 until Thursday 21st April 1966 and was illustrated by Alex Cubie.
As a small child in the 1960's I loved Freddie Chaplains stories, although of course I had no idea who he was back then! This lovely story features Pong-Ping and his Pet Dragon, Gregory Guinea pig and Granny, the wonderful Wise Old Goat, the Three Girl Guides and a fleeting glimpse of Daddy Bear reading the Nutwood Weekly Newspaper.
