Starting in the Daily Express is the delightful short Autumn story, Rupert and the Mail Train, written by Ian Robinson and beautifully illustrated by John Harrold .
It is the first time that the story has been repeated in the newspaper, giving its first full colour outing for many areas of the UK. The story features the Nutwood Bus and Nutwood Railway Station, with a journey in a lovely Air Ship .
The black and white image is from the original newspaper appearance, with much more artwork than the cropped effort reproduced today.
The lovely artwork is the story title page from its appearance in the Rupert Annual.
