Rupert and the Learner, an Alfred Bestall story, commenced in the Daily Express on Wednesday 30th May with Rupert off to do some shopping for his Mummy.
This is a newspaper story originally appearing in black and white in the spring of 1962, and was later coloured for the 1972 Rupert Annual, from where this reprinting is sourced. The story had further reprintings in a variety of children’s comics after this.
Rupert and the Little Men concluded on Tuesday 29th May after 28 episodes with Rupert and Algy’s safe return to the Bear’s cottage with some cute hats to remind them of their adventure.
