We are grateful to Follower Rod Prescott for unravelling the happenings regarding the Coughdrop story in the Express:
I am not sure if I was solely responsible for having the newspaper heading above the Daily Express Rupert Strip removed from Cartoon & Furry Tales, but here is the timeline. The new format of Rupert appeared on Monday November 10th 2025 on episode 39 of Rupert and the Housemouse. We were not happy at seeing Rupert referred to as a Cartoon, something that the Daily Express itself didn't like, according to the book A Bear's Life, by George Perry (Page 9). We immediately wrote to Geoff Maynard the Express Editor and he very promptly & kindly agreed to change the heading. Unfortunately, this resulted in Furry Tales for just one episode of Rupert and the Cough Drop (Friday November 28th, Episode 9), before reverting to the much more acceptable Nutwood Tales heading on Monday December 1st 2025. We now presently have three different size formats in the present Rupert Story as on Saturdays it returns to its past regular size and it remains different as always in the Sunday Express. Hope that this helps to clear things up for any newspaper Followers of Rupert .

Here is the missing episode 25 from Rupert and the Coughdrop that wasn't printed in 14th December's Sunday Express. It was down to human error and the newspaper apologises for the omission.
