Since the turn of the New Year the stories appearing in the Daily & Sunday Express have been really pleasing, as many are receiving only a second outing since their original publication.
Beginning in todays Daily Express (17 July, 2025) the John Harrold / Ian Robinson Story: 'Rupert and the Summer Roses' is no exception. This lovely story has never been reprinted since, featuring Ottoline, her dog Charlie and the Imps of Spring. When the story first appeared in May 1994 the 'Learn and Play' Comic Numbers 7, 8 and 9 ran throughout it's 32 episodes, while on ITV, 9 Rupert Weekly TV Stories were shown, one every Thursday afternoon at 3.50pm.
Rupert and the Bandits' Cave'' concluded on the 16th of July.
