Beginning in today's Sunday Express is the delightful but often retold story Rupert and the Boffit, written by Freddie Chaplain and illustrated by Alex Cubie.
It was only the second story to appear in the Daily Express following Alfred's retirement. It ran from Friday Sept 3rd 1965 until Tuesday Oct 12th 1965 over 34 episodes.
